OPENING AN ACCOUNT
All new accounts will be set up on a cash-in-advance basis until
such time that the Credit Dept. has been able to establish open
account terms. Minimum opening order to establish a new
account is $500.00 net. No account will be permitted open
account status unless they can be opened for at least a $1,000.00
credit limit. Payment terms are Net 30 days.
ORDERING
Once an account has been established, subsequent minimum
order is $100.00 net. A charge of $25.00 or the amount necessary
to reach $100.00 (whichever is less), will be added to the invoice.
Dealer Online Representation:
Pre-authorized web based rep-
resentation of the John Boos & Co. Product line must adhere to
written contractual agreement and minimum advertised pricing
(MAP).
F.O.B. FACTORY
All John Boos products are shipped F.O.B. Effingham, IL, 62401.
Whenever possible, orders may be consolidated for freight sav-
ings by contacting the factory or your representative.
CAUTION: FREIGHT CLAIMS
Before accepting any shipment, examine it carefully and note
any damage or shortage on the Freight Bill before signing
for delivery.
All claims for shortage or damage must be filed
with the carrier. Title passes from John Boos & Co. to the pur-
chaser at point of origin of shipment. If, after receipt of shipment,
concealed damage is discovered, immediately notify the deliver-
ing carrier requesting immediate inspection. The inspection re-
port should be used to support your claims against the carrier.
RETURN SHIPMENTS
We will not accept any returned merchandise unless written au-
thorization has been issued. Any claims for defective materials
or workmanship should be mailed to the factory.
For return of
UNUSED merchandise in A-1 condition - there is a 25% or
greater restocking charge for AUTHORIZED returns. John
Boos reserves the right to deny returned merchandise.

We acknowledge all orders in writing and this acknowledgment
constitutes our agreement with you regarding what is on order.
Please read your acknowledgment, as the company will not be
held responsible for errors due to misunderstandings on verbal
orders or verbal agreements with our Sales Representatives.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Any special orders that have been entered into production cannot
be canceled without paying all costs incurred by our company in
the preparation of special plans, materials purchased or produced.
No changes can be made once a “special order” has been entered
into production. Any costs incurred therein will be the responsi-
bility of the customer. Purchase orders may be changed up to
14 days before the scheduled shipping date without penalty, if
production has not commenced.
Absolutely no order changes or cancellations will be accepted
within 14 days of the originally scheduled ship date.
DROP SHIPPING
John Boos & Co. will drop ship to any location, as well as a
residential address
(Residential drop ship fee of $10.00 ap-
plies)
. Freight charges may be prepaid and added to your invoice
if specified on shipments for locations other than the billing ad-
dress. Products shipped via UPS and FedEx Ground are subject
to a $6.00 handling charge per carton.
Note:
For residential
delivery, liftgate service, notification of delivery, and other special
requirements, additional charges may apply.
WARRANTY
The only warranty, expressed or implied, is a 1-year guarantee
against defect in workmanship and material.
This warranty does not apply to damages which may result from
neglect, accidental or intentional damage, damage or wear to any
swivel mechanism, normal wear and tear, misuse of product,
unauthorized repair, exposure to extremes in temperature and
humidity, and alteration or abuse of the product. Wood products
ordered ‘unfinished’ do not come with a warranty.
Repairs or replacement under this limited warranty will be made
through an authorized John Boos & Co. distributor, if possible,
the same dealer/distributor from which the product was pur-
chased. Should the dealer or factory representative find return
of the product to the factory necessary, all packing and shipping
costs will be the responsibility of the customer. If a
dealer/distributor is not available, contact the Customer Service
Department at John Boos & Co., 315 S. First Street, Effingham,
IL 62401 for the name and location of the nearest authorized
distributor.
Factory obligation under this warranty, is limited, at the option of
John Boos & Co. to repair or replacement of the product (or one
of equal type and quality if the product is no longer available),
within 90 days after receipt of written recommendation from the
dealer, provided none of the above exceptions are evident.
John Boos & Co. shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising
from use, or for consequential damages. This warranty gives
certain legal rights and there may be other rights that vary from
state to state.
