Ingredients

Holy Smokers Rub Co: Cherry Hickory and Bacon Hog Rub
Foil or Butchers Paper
1 Rack of Baby Back Ribs
Favorite BBQ sauce
Cherry Pepsi or apple juice to spritz
Olive Oil

How to make it:

  1. Remove silverskin membrane on back of pork ribs (using a napkin & butter knife by working the knife underneath. Use the napkin to get a firm grip to tear off the membrane).

  1. Rub down the pork ribs with olive oil as a binder.

  1. Season base layer with Holy Smokers Bacon Hog lightly and coat the top layer on both sides with Cherry Hickory Sweet BBQ rub.

  1. Let sit for at least 20 minutes or all night in the fridge for maximum flavor.

  1. Start smoker/grill and set it to 225 degrees. When the grill is ready, lay the pork ribs on the smoker/grill bone side down & straighten the bones.

  1. Smoke for 3 hours for a more smokey flavor, spritz every hour with Apple Juice or Cherry Pepsi.

  1. After 3 hours, wrap in butcher paper. Make a layer of brown sugar to length of ribs, top with dollops of butter & honey, then placing bone side up for an additional hour.

  1. After the hour is up, take out of the butcher paper and place the bone side down and baste with your favorite BBQ sauce for an additional 30 minutes to an hour. When the meat starts to pull from the bones, check for probe tenderness between the bones.

  1. Take off and rest for a few minutes. Enjoy!
